Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations
  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum improvements
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Religious Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Religious Education or a related field

Experience:

Proven experience teaching Religious Education to secondary school students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Education
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to engage and motivate students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a secondary school setting
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for extracurricular involvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
