Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for supply teachers to join our team of people, supporting schools across Tameside ensure that their pupils are still receiving a good standard of teaching during unexpected absences.

This is an opportunity for you to work in a range of schools across the Tameside area. Throughout this role, you will work flexibly, managing your own availability.

The salary for this position will be between £120 and £160 per day dependent on your qualifications and your responsibilities throughout the school day.

  • Usually, supply teachers do not have any planning and marking responsibilities, allowing you to create a better work life balance.
  • You will have a 6.5 hour working day.
  • You will be in control of your own availability, allowing you to manage you to manage your own workload.
  • You will have the opportunity to work in a range of schools.

As a supply teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons to a classroom to cover an unexpected absence from their regular teacher. You will be responsible for ensuring that the pupils are well behaved throughout their lessons and are focused on their tasks.

To be cleared for work, you must apply for a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check, you will also be required to put this check onto the Update Service once it has been completed. You will also be required to provide a minimum of two employment-based references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
