Psychology Graduate

Location: Lichfield
Contract: Full-time starting ASAP
Candidate: Must have SEN/SEMH/SEND Experience
Weekly Salary: £420 - 450

Teaching personnel are looking for psychology graduates to use their expertise to provide 1:1 support to individuals with SEN at a specialist school in Lichfield. The school caters to students aged 11 to 19 years, all of whom have education, health, and care plans and face learning difficulties and/or delays. Students have diverse needs, including learning and physical disabilities and autism. The school offers a flexible, creativity-focused curriculum that provides students with a variety of experiences essential to their education. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 3:30 pm).

Who we are looking for:

Specific school experience is not required, but you must meet the following criteria:

  • Degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Experience working with young people
  • Experience working with SEN (in schools, personal experience, care sector, family/friends, or the community)
  • Passion for education
  • Current and clear DBS, or willingness to obtain one
  • Openness to CPD
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Adaptable and versatile
  • Full valid UK driving license
  • Desire to help vulnerable and young people live happy, fulfilling lives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teaching staff with lesson delivery
  • Conducting small group sessions
  • Providing one-to-one support to students needing extra help
  • Monitoring student progress and giving feedback to teaching staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
