Primary Teaching Assistants (SEN & General Classroom Support)

We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to join our team. Role Overview:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children across a range of abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your responsibilities will include:

General Classroom Support: Assisting teachers with day-to-day classroom activities, including preparing resources, managing classroom behavior, and providing individual or small group support to students.

SEN Support: Working closely with students who have special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum, and providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience.

One-on-One Support: Supporting individual students with their educational and social development.

Collaborative Work: Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment for all students.

Experienced Teaching Assistants: Who have worked in primary education and have experience supporting SEN students.

Care Workers/Youth Workers: With transferable skills and a passion for working with children, who are eager to transition into the education sector.

Career Changers: Individuals from other sectors who are interested in education and willing to undergo additional training and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to meet the demands of the role.

Vetting and Safeguarding:
At Teaching Personnel, safeguarding children is our top priority. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a comprehensive vetting process, including:

Enhanced DBS Check: All candidates must have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service. If not, we can assist you in obtaining one.

Right to Work in the UK: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Professional References: We will seek references from your most recent employers, covering at least the last 24 months. For those new to the sector, character references will be required.

Face-to-Face Interview: As part of our vetting process, you will be required to attend a face-to-face interview with one of our consultants.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
