Job description

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated primary school teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate Year 2 Teacher for a full-time, long-term position in a welcoming school in Paignton, Torbay, Devon.

About the Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all pupils in achieving their potential.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, ensuring progress in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child's educational journey.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with the school’s policies.
  • Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and development.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching in KS1, preferably in Year 2.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to inspiring a love for learning in young children.
  • Shows adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude.
  • Can provide a clear DBS check or is willing to undergo one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
