Job description

SEN TEACHER
Are you looking for a new permanent teaching role in January working with pupils with additional needs?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with an SEN school in Maidenhead to recruit a full time Teacher for their fantastic SEN school in January 2025.
The students within this school have varying complexities of additional needs and require specialist support within their education. Within these roles, you will be responsible for leading small classes of students and tailoring your support to their individual needs. You will also be responsible for leading a team of teaching assistants within the class to ensure all students are getting the best support possible.
Due to the specialist nature of the schools, you will need to be comfortable teaching the primary curriculum and covering multiple different subjects, but also be comfortable adapting your teaching to the different needs of the students.
For this role you must:
• Be a fully qualified teacher and hold QTS.
• Have experience working with students with complex additional needs within an education role, or have experience with complex needs in another role where skills are transferrable to these specialist roles
• Be comfortable adapting your teaching to different needs of students
• Have experience working with challenging behaviour and have good de-escalation skills
• Be comfortable and confident leading a team of teaching assistants
• Be able to provide meaningful feedback to other staff and parents surrounding the progress of students
• Be available full time in January 2025.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
