Primary Teacher- Starting January 2025

Are you a passionate Primary School Teacher looking for an opportunity close to home? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Primary Teacher to make a meaningful impact on young learners. Location: Goole, East riding of Yorkshire

Salary: £120–£150 per day

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

About the Role

As our network of partner schools grows, we’re urgently looking for talented primary teachers to provide flexible, short-term supply cover, typically for 3–5 days each week. Most assignments are pre-arranged, though there may be occasional standby requirements for same-day bookings between 7–9am. You’ll follow each school’s policies, mark pupils’ work, and provide thorough handover notes for the Class Teacher.

  • Behaviour Management: Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Possess a solid understanding of the national curriculum to plan and deliver inspiring lessons that captivate students and support them in reaching their best.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with Teaching Assistants to enhance classroom learning.
  • Assessment: Use assessment strategies to monitor, track, and support student progress, informing your teaching approach.
  • Inclusive Environment: Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that promotes the school’s ethos, valuing each child and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold exemplary safeguarding practices to ensure a secure environment for all pupils.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS with previous teaching experience in primary education.
  • DBS Clearance: Have a current DBS certificate on the update service.
  • Adaptability: Show flexibility and excellent classroom management, adjusting seamlessly to different school settings.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
