Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

£83.85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

1. Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.

2. Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.

3. Support students with learning activities, personal care, and social integration within the classroom.

4. Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students.

5. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and carers.

Required Qualifications:

- Relevant qualifications in Education or SEN support

- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

- Safeguarding training certification

Experience:

- Experience working with children or young people with SEN

- Previous experience in a school or educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of SEN support strategies and techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Working Conditions:

- Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

- Classroom environment in a primary school setting

- May involve personal care assistance for students with SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
