Teaching Personnel is excited to partner with a Primary SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in East Bristol, a setting devoted to understanding and nurturing the unique needs of every child. This role is ideal for those new to working with children, considering a career in education, or experienced in mainstream settings seeking the chance to work more closely with students on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with autism.

Position Details

  • Start Date: Full-time, dates starting now and also in the ne year
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm (term-time only); flexible arrangements available to support work-life balance
  • Pay: £84/day, paid weekly

About the Role

  • No prior teaching experience required—bring your enthusiasm, and we’ll provide the support you need!
  • Work in small class sizes (6–8 pupils) to foster strong, supportive relationships with students.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be confident, proactive, and resilient in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Enjoy interactive play and engagement with children, approaching each day with positivity and a sense of humour.
  • Thrive in a team-oriented setting and be open to feedback and personal growth.
  • Ideally, have some experience with children or young people with autism—though we welcome individuals new to this area!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
