Job Advert: Teaching Assistant - Braintree
Location: Braintree, Essex
Position Type: Full-time
Start Date: Immediate start available
We are looking for caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team in Braintree, Essex. The perfect candidates will have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, helping them grow, and creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the classroom. If you’re someone who enjoys working with children and believes in making a difference, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Help teachers create fun and engaging lessons that inspire and support children’s learning.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need a little extra help.
- Assist children with their personal development, academic progress, and social skills.
- Ensure every child feels safe, valued, and included in the learning environment.
- Contribute ideas and resources to make learning even more exciting and accessible.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children is helpful, but not essential. This could be through childcare, tutoring, volunteering, or any relevant experience.
- A genuine love for working with children and a strong desire to help them learn and grow.
- GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
- Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Patience, kindness, and a positive attitude!
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- A valid child-only DBS check on the update service, or a willingness to apply for one.
- The ability to adapt to different needs and learning styles, ensuring every child feels supported.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
