Physical Education (PE) Teacher Opportunity

Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (depending on experience and in line with expectations)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: Flexible

Are you a passionate and motivated PE Teacher ready to make a lasting impact on students' lives? We are seeking an enthusiastic PE teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Southampton. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, tailored to develop students’ physical abilities and understanding of healthy lifestyles.
  • Create a positive, teamwork-oriented environment, promoting sportsmanship, physical fitness, and personal responsibility.
  • Lead extra-curricular sports activities and clubs, nurturing students’ confidence, enthusiasm, and athletic skill.
  • Prepare students for their GCSE PE assessments, delivering both theoretical content and practical preparation in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the PE department to support school-wide sports events, competitions, and health initiatives.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • QTS in Physical Education or a relevant subject.
  • A commitment to promoting the physical well-being and development of students of all abilities.
  • A teacher who can maintain strong classroom management while inspiring students to stay active and engaged.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents alike.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
