A dynamic secondary school in Southsea is seeking a passionate and committed PE Teacher to join their team full-time from February.

The school is dedicated to empowering students with the skills and confidence they need to excel academically and personally. They are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students through engaging and active Physical Education lessons, promoting teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to health and fitness.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring PE lessons that motivate students to participate actively and develop their physical skills.
  • Teach PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring lessons align with curriculum standards and objectives.
  • Plan and implement creative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages all students to achieve their personal best.
  • Lead and support extracurricular sports clubs, competitions, and initiatives within the PE department and the wider school community.
  • Promote the importance of physical health, fitness, and well-being.

Expectations:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
  • Experience: A minimum of six months of teaching experience in the UK.
  • Education: A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related subject.
  • Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a passion for physical education.
  • Commitment: A dedication to professional development and improving student outcomes.
  • Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for PE and promoting an active, healthy lifestyle for all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
