Job Title: PE Teacher

Location: North West England, Lancashire, Burnley

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Salary: £140.00 - £180.00 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons
  • Assess and evaluate students' physical abilities and progress
  • Organise and supervise sports activities and competitions
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students' overall development
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in Physical Education
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Experience teaching Physical Education at secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of national curriculum requirements for PE
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a PE specialism
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience coaching sports teams

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time temporary position
  • Working hours may vary based on school schedule
  • Interaction with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Physical activity required during sports sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
