We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team, working afternoons only, from January 2025. This pivotal role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting the emotional well-being and personal development of children in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted emotional and social support to pupils, fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere.
- Establish strong, trusting relationships with children to help them feel valued and confident.
- Work with pupils to address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges, promoting positive engagement with school life.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop tailored strategies for pupil support.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant experience working with children, ideally in a pastoral or support role within an educational setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with pupils, staff, and families.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to supporting the holistic development of each child.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance a varied workload.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
