Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a general teaching assistant to work across year groups on a part time basis to cover on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The hours will be 8.30am – 3.30pm. The school have fantastic feedback and offer a positive, supportive working environment. The successful will be supporting learning and contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities.
Hours: 3 days a week – full day
Start Date: January
The Applicant:
- Level 2/3 teaching assistant or relevant teaching assistant experience.
- Will have relevant SEN experience within an education setting or within care work
- Knowledge and experience of primary curriculum
- Be well versed in behaviour management strategies.
- Be nurturing and caring.
- Must be flexible to work with other staff.
- Will have excellent communication skills (non-verbal skills desired but not essential).
Responsibilities:
- Working as general Teaching assistant
- Working 1-1 helping to reach appropriate, related targets.
- Leading small group sessions promoting key skills needed within general lessons.
- Assisting within the classroom behaviour where needed.
- Communicating effectively with parents and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
