Nursery Teacher (Maternity Cover) - January Start

Position: Nursery Teacher
Location: Wolverhampton, WV10
Contract: Temporary (1 year, Maternity Cover)
Pay: Starting from £140/day for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and £160/day for qualified candidates outside of ECT period.

Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a positive learning environment? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to work at an ofsted rated 'Good' school based in Wolverhampton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons for nursery-aged children.
  • Support the social, emotional, and educational development of all children in your care.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and the wider school team to ensure each child’s needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and provide feedback on children's development.
  • Support children with special educational needs and adapt teaching accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in a nursery setting OR
  • Level 6 Early Years Practitioner qualification with relevant nursery experience.
  • A passion for early childhood education and child development.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
