Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience with TLR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing insights with parents and colleagues.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to create a nurturing and stimulating environment.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, offering support and guidance as needed.
  • Uphold the nursery’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an early years setting.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A nurturing and compassionate nature, with a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

  • Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Experience with SEN (Special Educational Needs) children.
