Job Duties:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of young children
• Create a safe, secure, and stimulating environment that fosters learning and development for children
• Observe, assess, and record each child's progress to inform individualised planning and support
• Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure open communication and partnership in the care and education of children
• Cultivate and support the development of children's fundamental skills, including language, numeracy, and social skills
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards at all times

Required Qualifications:

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrate understanding of child development and learning theories
• Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Show strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
• Have additional training in areas such as safeguarding and behaviour management

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children in a nursery setting. It may require some lifting and bending. The working hours are part-time, and flexibility may be required to meet the needs of children and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
