Nursery Practitioner

About Us: We are a well-established and highly regarded nursery, dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. We cater for children aged 6 months to 5 years and take pride in offering outstanding care and early education, giving every child the best possible start in life.

Your Role: As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be an essential member of our committed team. You will work closely with our experienced staff to create a nurturing and enriching atmosphere for children. Your responsibilities will involve engaging in age-appropriate activities, assisting with mealtimes, supporting children's personal care needs, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Observe and monitor children's development, documenting their progress and milestones.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with both children and parents, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for children at all times.
  • Support children's emotional well-being, offering comfort and encouragement when required.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to create a creative and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
  • A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its implementation in a nursery setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

Working Hours: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8 am to 6 pm. We value a healthy work-life balance and provide a supportive working environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
