Teaching Personnel, in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Bolton, is seeking a dedicated and skilled PMLD Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join our expert team. Your Role in SEN Education:

As a PMLD Teacher, you’ll be a crucial part of our students' educational and personal development. Your creativity, expertise, and commitment will drive engaging, tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of each student. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning Dynamic Lessons: Design and deliver creative, engaging lessons that incorporate sensory, physical, and communication activities. Your lesson plans will be adaptable, ensuring students with varying abilities are supported in a way that promotes both academic growth and life skills development.

  • Individualised Education Plans: Develop and implement bespoke education plans tailored to each student's unique needs, focusing on academic progress, life skills, and holistic development.

  • Specialised Support: Provide high-quality, hands-on teaching that includes sensory-based activities, communication aids, and physical engagement, ensuring all students with PMLD are supported effectively.

  • Positive Behaviour Support: Foster a safe and inclusive environment by promoting positive behaviour strategies that encourage respect and active participation.

  • Progress Monitoring: Conduct thorough assessments and track student progress, sharing valuable feedback with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure continuous development.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Required, with experience teaching students with PMLD or other complex SEN in a school setting.

  • Specialist Experience: Experience with sensory-based teaching, communication aids, and assistive technology is advantageous.

  • Key Attributes: You are patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of children with PMLD. You are dedicated to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment.

  • Safeguarding Commitment: A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children is essential.
