Music Teacher - Secondary School

Location: Oldham

Are you a passionate and inspiring Music Teacher looking for a new opportunity in a supportive secondary school? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team in Oldham. This role offers the chance to shape the musical education of students and foster a love for music across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that encourages creativity and musical expression.
  • Prepare students for examinations, performances, and extra-curricular music activities.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that motivates and inspires students to achieve their best.
  • Work collaboratively with the Performing Arts department to support school productions and events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music or relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Music curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities, including music clubs and school performances.
  • A valid DBS check registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
