Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Music Teacher to join our Partner Secondary School for September 2024. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students in the study of music, fostering a love for the subject and encouraging creativity. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality music education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to the vibrant cultural life of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons to a diverse range of students.
- Develop students' skills in various aspects of music, including performance, composition, and music theory.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities such as school concerts, choirs, and musical ensembles.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music curriculum and participate in school-wide events.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT applications are also welcomed.
- A degree in Music or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching music, preferably within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach music theory, performance, and composition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
