Full-Time Music Teacher Vacancy
Location: Devizes, Wiltshire

About Us: We are a vibrant mainstream secondary school located in the heart of Devizes, committed to providing an inclusive and dynamic learning environment for our students. Our school is dedicated to fostering creativity, academic excellence, and a passion for learning. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team from September 2024.
The Role: As a Full-Time Music Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and engaging our students through the power of music. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality music education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level Music. Your passion for music and innovative teaching methods will help nurture students' talents and develop their musical abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective music lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop their musical skills and appreciation.
- Organise and lead extra-curricular music activities, including school concerts and performances.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development of the school's music curriculum and resources.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Music or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching music at the secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Desirable:
- Experience in leading school music ensembles or choirs.
- Proficiency in playing multiple musical instruments.
- Experience in using music technology in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
