Job description

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is working with a vibrant school based in Leeds who are seeking a passionate and experienced MFL teacher to join their department. You will be responsible for inspiring a love of languages in students and driving excellence in language learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach French/Spanish across the curriculum KS3-4 (KS5 preferred but not required)
  • Prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Contribute to the development of a stimulating and progressive curriculum for MFL
  • Motivate and support all students in achieving their full potential in languages
  • Set and mark assessments, providing clear and constructive feedback

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a QTS or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages
  • Has a strong understanding of current language teaching pedagogy
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of successful teaching in a secondary school setting
  • A passion for languages and the cultural aspects they offer is essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
