Maths Teaching Assistant
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teaching Assistant to join our client secondary school in Chorlton. As a Maths Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of Maths within school, working closely with both students and teachers.
This role will start in February and will run full-time until the end of the academic year. The working hours are 8:30am until 3pm Monday to Friday.
The school is situated in the heart of south Manchester, only a short walking distance away from local tram and bus stops. There is also a large onsite car park for members of staff using a vehicle.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting the Maths department in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help with their Maths studies
• Conducting small group activities to reinforce learning objectives
• Marking and providing constructive feedback on student work
• Promoting a positive learning environment within the classroom
• Collaborating with teachers to create resources and materials for lessons
Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Maths or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience working with secondary school students is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
