Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Nursery (DE13)

Location: DE13
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a fantastic nursery in the DE13 area. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated early years team in a setting where you can make a real difference to the lives of young children. The role involves supporting the class teacher, engaging with children on a 1:1 or group basis, and helping to create a positive learning environment that encourages child development through play and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the nursery team in delivering engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Assist in the social and emotional development of children, ensuring a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
  • Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to encourage children’s cognitive, language, and physical development.
  • Promote positive behavior and encourage children to be confident and independent.
  • Work closely with the teacher and other staff to assess and monitor children’s progress.
  • Ensure all safeguarding policies are adhered to, maintaining a safe and caring environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or Childcare (essential).
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development milestones.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual children.
  • A passion for helping young children thrive and develop in a supportive environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
