Job Title: Ad-Hoc Level 3 Teaching Assistants – Flexible Support Across Newcastle upon Tyne

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you a passionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work opportunities?

We are seeking ad-hoc Level 3 Teaching Assistants to provide support in mainstream and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced TAs who want to work around their schedules while making a positive impact on the education of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering engaging and effective lessons under the guidance of the teacher
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils, including those with SEN
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils' individual learning goals and development
  • Assist with classroom preparation, activities, and behavior management
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth and supportive classroom experience

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in primary schools and/or specialist SEN settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and reliability to work across a range of schools
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
