Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:
- Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Offer reading and writing support to students who require additional assistance
- Support the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and encouraging positive behaviour
- Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources
- Supervise students during break times and off-site activities
- Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants and school staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
Required Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
- Prior experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or similar role
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN support strategies
- Proficient in providing reading and writing support
- Excellent behavioural management skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
- Familiarity with KS1 and KS2 curriculum
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in special educational needs (SEN) support
- Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
- Temporary position with full-time hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
