Level 2 Teaching Assistant

A Primary & Secondary Alternative Provision in the Burnley area is seeking a compassionate and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team. This full-time, temporary role offers the chance to make a real difference in pupils' lives, working in a supportive environment tailored to their needs.

Key Details:

  • Location: Burnley
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Pay: £12.90 per hour
  • Contract Type: Temporary (for the academic year)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning
  • Work closely with teachers to support smaller class sizes, designed to build pupils’ confidence and independence
  • Help create a positive, nurturing atmosphere for pupils with additional needs

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young people with challenging behaviours
