Job description

Are you a compassionate and adaptable individual looking to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel, a leading education recruitment agency, are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants for day-to-day supply roles across SEN schools in Hull

Position: Flexible Learning Support Assistant (Day-to-Day Supply)
Location: Hull
Type: Temporary, Flexible
Salary: £95 per day  

About Us: Teaching Personnel is committed to connecting talented educators with schools that require their expertise. We work closely with a range of SEN schools in North London, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to students with a variety of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
  • Assist teachers in creating and maintaining an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Adapt to different school settings and student needs, offering tailored support as required.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, helping them to build confidence and achieve their potential.
  • Manage challenging behaviour with patience and professionalism.
  • Support students with personal care, mobility, and other daily activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various school environments.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field are advantageous.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
