Job description
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a vibrant and dynamic secondary school, located in Worthing, seeking two learning support assistants to join the department from January 2025, on a full time, permanent basis. The school was graded ‘GOOD’ during Ofsted’s most recent visit in 2023 and offers a modern and innovative approach to education, focusing on providing a broad and balanced curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of its students. The school emphasizes the importance of both academic excellence and personal development, encouraging students to become confident, independent, and resilient individuals.
The successful candidates will be expected to provide support to individual students who face various challenges affecting their progress in the classroom, this could include pupils who have special educational needs, and/or learning and behavioural difficulties.
Experience of working with young people with special educational needs or experience of social communication difficulties would be beneficial, but not essential. The school are looking for passionate people who have a strong desire to support young people overcome their barriers to learning. Candidates must have a high standard of communication, numeracy and literacy and be able to promote these effectively to ensure we deliver outstanding academic outcomes for our young people. GCSE grade 4 (C and above) in English and Mathematics are essential for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
