Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Primary school to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced SEN teaching assistant to work with pupils in KS2 with special educational needs. The school are looking for a teaching assistant to start in October with the potential to go long term.

The ‘good’ graded School has a very good reputation and are looking for a Special Needs teaching assistant who are going to bring optimism and a positive attitude to the school. The right applicant will have experience working with SEN students particularly Autism experience and be prepared to work with children with challenging behaviour. They must be patient, empathetic and resilient; as well as having a true passion for working with children who need additional support. 

The school are looking to interview candidates now for a October start.

Overview:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant role to start on a full-time basis
  • Long term contract
  • School based in Worthing
  • Monday – Friday
  • 8.30-3.30pm

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • Be willing to apply for a child only DBS
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be calm, caring and resilient
  • SEN experience

As well as experienced teaching assistants, we also welcome applications from candidates who have experience working with children in other settings such as care and support workers. If you have experience working with children or special needs then please apply!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
