Learning Support Assistant - East London

The school are looking for motivated and enthusiastic learning support assitant  to join their Additional Learning Support. Your working time would be flexible and annualised, up to 36 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time only).You will work as a member of the ALS and Teaching teams to help raise the learning and attainment of students with special educational needs, disabilities and mental health.

As a Learning Support assistant, you will provide 1:1, shared in class and group support to SEN learners within the mainstream college. The LSA will deliver support to learners with SEMH, dyslexia, autism, ADHD and speech and language needs.

Learning Support Assistant - The Candidate:

  • Have a 2:1 or 1:1 from a reputable university
  • Experience with SEN/SEMH/SEND
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with students with learning difficulties
  • Be committed to providing high-quality education and support to students and will be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Be organised, reliable, and flexible, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.
