Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join a welcoming primary school supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have additional needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive both academically and socially. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to pupils with SEND.
- Encouraging positive behavior and fostering a nurturing learning atmosphere.
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
- Collaborating with staff and parents to ensure pupils receive the best possible care and support.
- Ensuring the highest level of safeguarding at all times.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Professional or personal experience working with children with SEND or young children.
- A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Resilient nature with the flexibility to support in various classes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
While formal qualifications are not essential, they are advantageous, and any relevant experience in education, childcare, or support work will be highly valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
