About the Role:
We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a highly regarded SEN school in NG10. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with severe learning difficulties, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Implement individualised programmes and strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Support students with personal care tasks as required.
- Promote an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere.
- Help maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Experience working with children with severe learning difficulties, preferably in an SEN setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to promoting the well-being and educational development of students.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
