Job Duties:

The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers to support students with additional learning needs. Duties include providing one-to-one assistance, helping with classroom activities, and implementing individual education plans.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSE English and GCSE Maths qualifications are required for this role.

Education:

A good level of education is essential for this role, with a focus on English and Maths qualifications.

Experience:

Previous experience working in an educational setting or with individuals with learning difficulties is desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be a good listener, highly organised, and have experience in behaviour management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Teaching Assistant qualifications would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

Both part time and full time opportunities available. 

This role involves working within a school environment, collaborating with teachers and other support staff. The Learning Support Assistant may need to adapt to different learning styles and provide support in various classroom settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
