Learning Support Assistant
Job description
Are you passionate about helping students reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant team in Halifax. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is committed to supporting students in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with a variety of learning needs in both individual and group settings
- Assist with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities under the guidance of the class teacher
- Help students develop academic, social, and emotional skills
- Foster an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported
- Help students with personal care or mobility needs when required
- Contribute to planning and preparing learning resources to support teaching and learning
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Is patient, adaptable, and able to motivate students
- Has experience working with children (experience with SEN or additional needs is desirable but not essential)
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Holds or is willing to work towards relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent)
- Has excellent communication skills and a caring approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
