Learning Support Assistant – Glossop
Are you passionate about helping students achieve their full potential? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Glossop area. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students with their learning and well-being in a dynamic educational environment.
About the Role:
- Start Date: January 2024
- Contract: Full-time or part-time (flexible options available)
- Pay Rate: £85–£110 per day (dependent on experience)
- Work closely with teachers to support students with their academic and personal development.
- Assist students with additional needs, providing one-to-one or small group support to enhance their learning.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support with classroom management and provide encouragement to keep students engaged.
- Contribute to the implementation of personalised learning plans and ensure all students can access the curriculum effectively.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students’ needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other staff.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
- Experience with SEN (Special Educational Needs) support is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
