Job Description:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our students. You will work closely with teachers, other support staff, and parents to create an engaging and positive learning experience for students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with varying learning needs.
- Assist teachers in creating and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Help to manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
- Support students in developing social and communication skills.
- Monitor and report on students’ progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing learning materials and maintaining student records.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their potential.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
- Basic knowledge of child development and educational strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
