Learning Support Assistant Required at a Secondary School in Bournemouth
Location: Bournemouth
Position: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant
A reputable mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth, known for its inclusive education and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) unit, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team from January 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with SEN, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
- Work closely with the SEN Coordinator and teaching staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Support students during lessons, ensuring they remain engaged and focused.
- Encourage the development of social skills and support students' participation in school activities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
- A passion for working with young people and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and adaptability.
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
