Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location:

Dorset, Bournemouth/Christchruch

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

£83.85 - £90 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans
  • Support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Help students to develop independent learning skills
  • Monitor and record student progress
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with students with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning styles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with disabilities
  • Basic IT skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-Time
  • Contract position
  • Supportive school environment
  • Possibility of occasional additional hours or duties

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
