Role Overview:
We are currently seeking various dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary School Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic team for the new acadmeic year. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting our teachers and helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
- Individual Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students with diverse learning needs.
- Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
- SEN Support: Work with students with special educational needs (SEN) and those requiring additional help.
- Activity Assistance: Support the planning and execution of educational activities and projects.
- Progress Monitoring: Record and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to teachers.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs and activities if required.
- Student Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with young people is desirable.
- A passion for education and student development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
- Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
