Lead English Teacher
Salary £25,410 - £39,300 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
Location-Westbury

Teaching Personnel have an excellent opportunity to work with a Independent special school based in Westbury. The school cater for pupils aged 11-16 who have small group and individualised learning to focus on social and emotional development.

The school are looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead English Teacher to join their dedicated team.

The Job

  • Lead subject teaching responsibility and ensure all pupils develop their knowledge and skills and make good progress in their learning
  • Work with the Head Teacher and Leadership team to deliver a sequenced curriculum which builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points
  • Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely intervention

The Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) preferred but other recognised teaching qualification considered
  • Proven experience of teaching  English to secondary class/group
  • Experience within an SEN setting 
  • Ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.
  • Driving licence and use of own car as may be required to transport pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
