TP Tutors seeks vibrant and dedicated educators across Nottinghamshire (NG1) and neighboring areas to provide personalised tutoring to students on a one-on-one basis. Many of our current assignments involve assisting students awaiting school placements, often conducted in the comfort of their homes or within the local community. We have roles both in July 2024 and September 2024 onwards.
We are experiencing a surge in demand for specialists in core subjects like English and Maths, with opportunities to guide KS4 and 16+ students in either functional skills or GCSE. Therefore, we welcome applicants from diverse educational backgrounds.
Students seek tutoring for various reasons, including:
- Behavioral challenges (students excluded from school awaiting new placement)
- Emotional needs such as school phobia or anxiety
- Medical requirements
- Learning difficulties
- Communication and social needs
- Relocation while awaiting school placement
- Academic improvement
- GCSE/Functional Skills exam preparation
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Experience with secondary-aged or 16+ students
- Prior experience in tutoring (preferred)
- Ability to handle challenging behavior
- Proficiency in designing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs and abilities
- A calm, compassionate, and patient demeanor
- Capability to foster positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries
- Completion of safeguarding training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
