Job Title: KS3 Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Chelmsford

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Deliver engaging and effective English and Maths tutoring sessions to KS3 students
• Develop lesson plans and educational materials tailored to individual student needs
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff regarding student progress

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching KS3 English and Maths
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 curriculum and assessment requirements

Education:

• PGCE in Education or relevant field
• Degree in English, Maths, or related subject

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching KS3 English and Maths
• Experience working with students of diverse learning needs

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and engage students in the learning process
• Strong organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) or inclusion
• Experience using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

• Temporary position with Full-Time hours
• Work closely with students in a classroom or tutoring setting
• Potential for remote tutoring based on circumstances

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
