Job Title: KS3 SEND Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Harlow

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Create individualised lesson plans to suit the learning needs of each student
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with school staff and special education coordinators to ensure student support and success
  • Adhere to SEND guidelines and regulations in all tutoring sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • A valid teaching qualification in English and/or Maths
  • Experience working with students with SEND in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEND

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Working Conditions:

This role involves working closely with students with SEND in their homes. The tutor may need to travel to different school locations within the Harlow area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
