Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location: England, Greater London, Enfield

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach setting.
  • Create engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure academic growth.
  • Collaborate with SEN coordinators, teachers, and parents to develop personalised learning plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK.
  • Experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • A degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering English and Maths lessons to diverse learners.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs.
  • Additional training in specific SEN interventions or techniques.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours with flexibility in scheduling.
  • Temporary position with the potential for extension.
  • Work in an outreach capacity, visiting students in various locations.
  • Collaborative work with educational professionals and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
