Job description

Job Title: Maths and English KS3 SEN 1:1 Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Braintree

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring in Maths and English to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding student progress
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with SEN students
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 Maths and English curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN strategies and best practises
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in SEN education
  • Experience working in a one-on-one tutoring setting

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a classroom or home tutoring environment
  • May require travel to student's homes or other locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
