Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Intervention Outreach Tutor

Location:

England, Greater London, Romford

Job Duties:

  • Provide targeted English and Maths intervention support to KS3 students
  • Deliver outreach tutoring sessions in a one-on-one or small group setting
  • Create personalised learning plans to address students' specific needs and learning goals
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge in English and Maths at KS3 level
  • Experience in providing intervention support to students

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of the KS3 curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students effectively
  • Organisational skills to plan and deliver effective tutoring sessions
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in educational institutions or community outreach centres
  • Potential travel within the Greater London area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
