Teaching Personnel is working with a popular two-form-entry primary school in Wigan that requires a KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide additional classroom support. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to assist Key Stage 2 pupils in their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general support across the KS2 classroom
- Work with small groups or individual pupils, focusing on interventions in core subjects such as English and Maths
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and learning resources
- Support pupils with additional needs, including those with Educational Health Care Plans
- Help with assessments and track pupil progress
The school offers a supportive environment with modern facilities and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced KS2 teacher and another teaching assistant. This is a fantastic chance to gain experience within a high-performing Wigan primary school, with the possibility of a permanent position.
Requirements:
- Recent experience working with KS2 children in a primary school setting
- Level 2 qualification or above
- Strong communication skills and the ability to support learning in English and Maths

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
